If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is a lowkey and subtle mixtape from Drake, who has been anything but lowkey and subtle lately. Since this is a mixtape and not a full studio album, it gives Drake a bit of freedom to move away from the commercial side of the music and not have to make any big radio hits. I think that helps the mixtape quite a lot and gives it a more relaxed feel to it, especially with the production on here. There are also some pretty good confident lines on this mixtape as well. Also the themes on here may not be anything new like, his relationships, his money or his fame but he doesn’t drag on about them for too long. Like I said earlier, low-key and subtlety. Overall, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late works well as a whole project instead of some of his more recent albums that have some good tracks but with some uninteresting filler. This doesn’t have any filler.
